The BSC is a resident company at BOAT (Brighton Open Air Theatre) which hosted our first production The Merry Wives of Windsor in their founding year, 2015.

The company was created by award winning actor/writer/director, Mark Brailsford who is also artistic director and well know for his long running hit comedy show The Treason Show, still running after 18 years.

Our successful debut production was followed by Much Ado About Nothing, Macbeth (tour) and a rapturously received A Midsummer Night’s Dream at various venues across Sussex including 11th century churches and Lewes Castle. The work is collaboratively led by the AD and associate directors Sarah Mann and Kerren Garner who also leads our schools workshop programme and is an actor/PGCE qualified teacher and education officer for the company.

The BSC ethos is simple, to make Shakespeare accessible and richly entertaining for all.
